Schumann Consult has joined forces with RLB | Rider Levett Bucknall to create a powerful new alliance that reduces risk, creates unrivalled value and meets a rising demand for improved documentation standards from property and construction clients.
London based Schumann Consult works with many of the world’s key architects and delivers concise specifications and design management services.
Established in January 2013, the company is owned and managed by former Davis Langdon partners Nick and Mark Schumann. The team has more than 27 years’ experience in delivering this service to clients around the world.
The new alliance will complement the respective services of both firms and as a result of the improved process, aims to increase the number of global commissions with signature architects.
Nick Schumann, director of Schumann Consult added: “Feedback from the industry shows that clients can become frustrated by the conflict which often occurs between architectural and engineering specifications, preliminaries and other tender documentation produced by cost consultants. This can result in delays, variations and additional cost to project.
“We are delighted to be aligned with Rider Levett Bucknall and provide a solution to these issues. This new alliance provides us with greater access to global markets and enhances our design focused expertise using Rider Levett Bucknall’s wide pool of knowledge, resources and international reach.
“The culture of the two firms is very similar with both operating as independent consultants, delivering high quality services to clients.”
The Schumann Consult team will work with RLB | Rider Levett Bucknall offices whilst remaining an independent practice in its own right.
Lance Taylor, CEO of Rider Levett Bucknall UK said: “The skill in creating succinct specifications is invaluable and Schumann Consult has a considerable pedigree in this area.
“Its wealth of expertise and insight into the architectural community significantly enhances the existing portfolio of Rider Levett Bucknall skills. It allows our clients to have just one conversation with us to cover this multitude of necessary ingredients that are essential in the delivery of a successful project.”
